Q: Can I attend a council meeting?

A: You need to be a First Degree member with a current membership card to attend general council meetings. Other visitors must first contact an officer for permission. Regular sessions occur the first and third Mondays of every month from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Saint Mary site of Saint Katharine Drexel Parish in Kaukauna. Enter near the corner of the parking lot and follow the hallway on your right to find the council chambers. Don't forget your current membership card. We'd love to see you, even if you can't attend often!

Q: What if I don't have a current membership card?

A: Membership cards are mailed out by the Financial Secretary upon payment of annual dues. Contact the FS if you are missing your membership card or to inquire about the status of your membership and dues. The FS can also provide pertinent information to Insurance Members.

Q: Can I be an officer?

A: You need to be a Third Degree member to hold most offices. Elections occur annually and any qualified member can seek an office if he intends to fulfill the obligations faithfully. Even if you don't become an officer, there are many other appointed positions available to volunteers who want to share their special interests or talents.

Q: How do I know if I'm a qualified member?

A: The Financial Secretary has the responsibility of keeping track of every member's status and can tell you what kind of member you are (council or insurance), whether your dues are current, and your membership disposition (current, withdrawn, suspended, inactive, honorary life).

Q: How can I advance to the next degree?

A: Exemplifications are held regularly throughout the region. We can find one that will fit in your schedule, get you registered, and help you attend. Often multiple degrees are scheduled the same day, so you can advance much faster and more conveniently.

Q: Can I request council assistance with a project?

A: Members regularly bring charitable opportunities to the council's attention and we frequently participate or contribute funds. It's easiest if you can bring your idea for a project or program to a regular meeting. That way you can provide information to many members at once and they can ask questions, which makes the whole process faster. If your need is urgent or you can't make any meetings in time for an event, feel free to contact one of the officers for advice.
