Visit CareCompass.org now to contribute information about charitable programs to our growing list. This list will be used to match people in need with just the right resources to help them as quickly as possible. It will also provide a key resource for donors to find organizations that fit their mission. Individual volunteers can even offer their time and talent through the database!
While the list is growing, we are contacting the charitable programs to learn their eligibility criteria and areas of service. This information will help the website pre-qualify applicants in one step so they don't waste time searching for aid at charities which don't serve their particular needs. It will also reduce the workload for overburdened charities by allowing them to avoid applications that are not compatible with their mission. The computer matching enables donors to find needs that are under-funded and compensate accordingly. The search and referral functions will be available in the near future, after thorough testing for accuracy and confidentiality. Check back often for progress updates.
CareCompass is a program designed to help anyone in need, regardless of their personal characteristics or situation. We cannot guarantee there is a charity available for every need, but if there is one that fits yours we intend to find it. Even if we can't find a good match for you, your search will help identify an area for growth. We will report unmet needs to funders and members of government so that such needs are not overlooked longer than necessary.
